Skin & Body
Pores · Texture
Enlarged pores do not have a single cause. We distinguish the sebum type, the laxity type, and the scar type, then set the treatment so the stimulus reaches only the depth required, while also looking at skin texture.
Pore & Texture
Pores · Texture
Pores are hard to judge by size alone. Heavy sebum can widen the opening, reduced dermal firmness can draw them downward, and acne scarring can make them look broader, and these often overlap. Cheongdam Laplace first confirms which type predominates, then sets the depth so that the stimulus reaches mainly the layer we are targeting.
Recommended for
- Those whose pores on the nose and inner cheeks stand out in photographs
- Those bothered by makeup breaking down from sebum by the evening
- Those whose pores have shifted into an elongated shape with age
- Those left with widened pores where acne has passed
- Those who feel makeup sits on top of rough skin texture
Our View
How we see it at Cheongdam Laplace
The process
01
Texture examination
With magnified imaging and palpation, we assess sebum levels, the degree of firmness loss, and whether scarring is also present.
02
Treatment planning consultation
We choose the device and depth for the predominant type, and explain the expected recovery period and number of sessions in advance.
03
Depth-by-depth procedure
After applying topical anesthetic, we set a different depth for each area and treat zone by zone.
04
Regenerative care guidance
We restore the barrier with care centered on calming and hydration, and set the timing of the next session based on how the texture changes.

Frequently asked questions
Do pores widen again?
Sebum production and firmness keep changing over time, so it is difficult to hold the same condition without care. Maintenance care at regular intervals together with home care may help reduce how much they stand out.
How much recovery time is needed?
It depends on the method, but redness usually lasts one to three days, and fine grid-pattern marks can remain for a few days. If you have an important engagement, we can lower the intensity and divide the sessions, or adjust the timing.
Can I have several procedures on the same day?
Layering several stimuli at once can lengthen recovery and lead to pigment reactions. We combine them only where necessary, and in most cases we suggest focusing on one purpose at a time with intervals in between.
What should I take care of at home?
Excessive exfoliation and frequent washing can instead increase sebum production. Gentle cleansing, sufficient hydration, and sun protection help carry the change gained from treatment further.
Precautions and possible side effects
- Redness, swelling, and warmth may continue for one to three days after the procedure.
- Fine grid-pattern crusts may remain after microneedling.
- Temporary dryness, flaking, and stinging may appear together.
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation may develop, so sun protection is necessary during recovery.
- Infection or a localized scarring reaction may occur in rare cases.
Treatment results may vary depending on individual condition, and side effects may occur. Please confirm the details through a consultation with our medical staff.
